House 1888 was born out of a love for whippets. It all started with our own dog. We were looking for well-made, comfortable and beautiful accessories designed specifically for whippets, but something was always missing. So we decided to make them ourselves: first for our own dog, then for friends, and soon for everyone who values quality, durability and thoughtful design.

Today House 1888 makes hand-made leather collars, leashes, accessories, clothes and beds. Every piece comes to life slowly, responsibly and with particular attention to detail.

What we make

Whatever we design, we always think about the dog's comfort and the owner's sense of style.

Our leather collars and leashes are made from carefully selected natural leather. Finding the right leather is a long process. It has to be soft enough to feel good on the dog, yet strong and durable enough for everyday use.

We also sew clothes that never restrict movement, even for the fastest dogs. They are warm, comfortable and made to last more than one season. We choose fabrics in calm, subtle colours that never go out of fashion and suit many different styles.

Our beds are made from high-quality water-repellent fabrics, so they are practical for everyday life, easy to care for and long-lasting.

How we make it

We believe in slow making.

Every House 1888 piece is designed and sewn by hand in our small studio. Every seam, every detail and every finishing touch takes time, care and patience. We never rush, because we believe it is the only way to make something you can enjoy for many years.

We choose every material responsibly. We look for leather that meets our quality standards, fabrics that are comfortable for dogs, and solutions that bring function and beauty together.
